Bbbbbbb Bronsky!

I just want to get dressed. I want to put a beautiful outfit on and curl my hair and feel pretty. That is what I was thinking and all that I wanted.

The half cold shower only lasted 4 minutes and the baby was pulling on the shower curtain. I was simultaneously playing peek-a-boo while trying to keep the shampoo out of my eye and the dog was crying next to the toilet, trying to hide from the toddler. But I did it. I cleaned myself! Winning.

The lower portion of my left leg only got half shaved, but oh well. I jumped out and began to dry off. Before I could get dry my little girl started screaming in horror. I dropped the towel and ran out naked to see what was happening. My oldest had her pinned to the ground and was not being very nice.

I quickly bent over to get him off of her and diffuse the situation and then...it happened!

My 2 year old didn't miss a beat. He stuck his sweet little face in my butt crack and gave me a bronsky!! A motor boat. A raspberry. Whatever you call it! He made the vibrating "bbbbbbbbbb" sound straight up in the middle of my gluteus maximus.

Did that just happen?! I'm all for some silly ridiculousness, but I feel like he just took it to another level. I popped up while clinching my cheeks (the natural reaction I think most would have to a butt bronsky) while screaming at the same time. I turned to him and began to yell I think, I wasn't quite sure. But the shear look of joy on his face turned my lost thought into total laughter. He said "I get you!" Yes, yes you did.

Being a mother is legitimate work. It is multitasking, managing, loving and laughing. I was in a rush to get ready and had my own agenda and my children had their own ideas. In that moment, they won. My oldest got out of a consequence. My little girl was distracted from her moment of frustration. My 2 year old made us all laugh. And my baby, he probably learned a new trick. Sometimes in our rush to be and do it all, it is easy to get short and hurry through our moments. And sometimes, it's better to stop and enjoy the moment. Even if we're the butt of the joke ;) pun intended!
